The chairman of the technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Chief Felix Ayansi-Agwu who confirmed the development in a telephone chat also hinted that the team comprising mainly home based players and other backroom staff will now travel today.
“We appreciate the issuance of the visas by the Belgian Embassy but I doubt if the team will be able to meet with the first match against Congo on Thursday since they will be travelling on the same day.”
Meanwhile, Chief Ayansi has described the camp row between Super Eagles Chief Coach, Sunday Oliseh and team captain, Vincent Enyeama as an in-house affair which has been resolved.
The media was awash with the news of the disagreement which ensued as soon as Enyeama arrived the team’s camp in Belgium ahead of a double header international friendlies.
According to sources, trouble started when Enyeama on arrival demanded as it used to be his room as team captain but Oliseh was said to have told him to go and pair with another player because he has selected Ahmed Musa as the new captain.
But according to Ayansi, the matter has been resolved and the team is again operating as one.
“The said disagreement is just a minor incident which can happen in any family. The Super Eagles operate as a family and when it happens, it is resolved immediately. We at the federation will also wish that the matter is not blown out of proportion.”
