Two goals by the in-form Odion Ighalo gave Watford a 2-1 victory at St James' Park as the hosts' disappointing start to the new season continued.
After scoring the winner over Swansea City last week, the Nigeria forward got his third and fourth league goals with finishes inside the opening half-hour.

Leicester came from two goals down for the second consecutive match as they fought-back to draw at the Britannia Stadium, denying Stoke City their first league win of the season.
Second-half goals by Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardycancelled out strikes from Bojan Krkic and Jonathan Walters, which had put Stoke two up midway through the opening period.
Making his first top-flight start since returning from a cruciate ligament injury, Bojan, whose last league goal came against Leicester back in January, fired Stoke ahead early on before Walters added a second in the 20th minute.
Jack Butland had to be on form at the other end to deny N'Golo Kante, before Claudio Ranieri's men pulled a goal back early in the second half through Mahrez's penalty, awarded for a push on Danny Drinkwater by Marko Arnautovic.
Vardy snatched the leveller in the 69th minute, and although Stoke pressed for a late winner, Mark Hughes' men had to settle for a share of the spoils.

Saido Berahino's first-half goal proved the difference as West Bromwich Albion earned the bragging rights from their West Midlands derby with Aston Villa.
The England Under-21 forward, who held talks with head coach Tony Pulis and his team-mates this week after being linked with a move away during the transfer window, looked focused at Villa Park, capping his return to the Albion side with a goal just before half-time.
Berahino popped up inside the area to deflect home James Morrison's powerful drive, rewarding an impressive first half for the visitors, who were largely untroubled by Villa, who are five league matches without a win.

Swansea City captain Ashley Williams gave a towering defensive performance as his side held firm against Everton at the Liberty Stadium.
Williams made a string of crucial blocks to frustrate Everton in a contest in which the Merseyside club had the better chances but found Garry Monk's side in resilient mood.
Everton picked up where they left off in their 3-1 win over Chelsea with confident attacking football, withRoss Barkley and Steven Naismith providing chances for Romelu Lukaku.
But Williams helped Swansea maintain their unbeaten home record in 2015/16, even if they were unable to secure a first league win over Everton, who had substitute Kevin Mirallas sent off late on for a foul onModou Barrow.
